The Blue Water Special is a super high quality fibreglass fin. These fins provide you with fantastic thrust in the most challenging conditions due to the revolutionary lamination technique and material. The Blue Water Specials come with a toe angle that helps you to swim keeping your feet in a natural position and allowing your feet to work effectively without cramping. The blade measures 20cm x 77cm. (width x length).
We use a hand-laminated multi layered mixture of resins and other chemicals, which are vacuum processed. We use many thin layers of glass fibre as opposed to fewer heavier layers (which is cheaper to produce but less effective). As a result, the force is more evenly spread over the blade, so the blade works more effectively, this also makes the blade light, very 'alive', very durable, and almost unbreakable.
These fins come in a range of colours that have been produced by pigment dyeing the lamination resin itself - NO PAINT JOB HERE. This makes the pattern VERY resistant to scratching as the colour in the fin is practically dyed through. There is no risk of surface/paint chipping when diving in rocky waters. The blade is tighter than other Spearfishing fins; a tighter blade makes the fins very good for practicing the stereo kicking technique.
